For your consideration, an antique or vintage silver-plated alcohol spirit burner, which historically served multiple functions across hospitality, medical, and crafting professions.
These burners are most commonly found nestled under vintage silver-plated chafing dishes or coffee urns on serving stands to keep food and drinks warm.
Known broadly as "spirit lamps," these tools were standard equipment for jewelers, laboratory tasks, and early dentistry. They provided a clean, localized flame.
The reservoir holds denatured alcohol or fuel. The extending lever control functions as a regulator to extinguish the flame or twist the internal wick assembly.
