Vintage 1950s Ceramic Dog in Basket Figurine Japan Kitsch Puppy Excellent Condition
Excellent vintage condition. No damage, breaks, cracks, or crazing. This little brown dog has a red bow and is sitting in a basket with flowers. It has the original pipe cleaner handle looping over the dog's ears and can be hung as an ornament.
Research indicates that this is a mid-century Japanese novelty "kitsch" figurine made during the 1950s.
There is no maker's mark, or ink stamp—companies like Relco, Shafford, and Napco frequently used a foil or paper labels. Over decades of handling, cleaning, or moisture, these labels almost always peeled right off.
