Big. Bold. Wonderfully weird.
This monumental vintage carved wooden alligator is pure Florida folk art with just the right amount of kitsch. Measuring nearly 50 inches long, he makes a statement whether propped in an entryway, displayed on a covered lanai, tucked beneath a console, or standing guard in a tropical-inspired interior.
Hand-carved from wood with a beautifully weathered green painted finish, expressive carved details, and a hinged tail, this oversized gator has all the rustic charm collectors love. The worn paint, distressed surface, and time-earned imperfections only add to his personality and authentic folk art appeal.
He’s one of those pieces that instantly starts conversations and probably gets photographed before anything else in the room.
Perfect for Old Florida, coastal cottages, beach houses, tiki bars, lake homes, restaurants, or anyone who appreciates whimsical Americana and Southern folk art.
