A rare French art deco pendant by Hettier & Vincent in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a beautiful shade in clear frosted molded-pressed glass made by Verreries des Hanots . Des Hanots was like Verlys one of the brands of the large Holophane glass company. Hettier & Vincent was a large well known French lighting company producing high quality items. Wholesaler and retailer with its prestigious shop at the beautiful Place de Vosges in Paris. The rare Hanots bowl has a typical art deco design that unites a geometrical pattern and nine flying birds. The signed bowl is represented in the 1935 Holophane catalog. The chandelier is in very good condition. One air bubble in the glass cracked open during the cooling down process leaving a small mark/hole. Some small chips on the inside of the rim invisible from the outside. (See last two pictures). A pendant with similar bowl is visible in one of the Hettier & Vincent catalog supplements. And a second H&V catalog picture shows a ceiling lamp with similar canopy. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounting and it comes rewired with an American standard socket. The pendant is about 52 cm high (20,47"), and the bowl has a diameter of 13,78 inches.
