A very nice French art deco pendant made around 1930 in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a bowl in clear frosted molded-pressed glass signed A.Neut. For the company Labbé & Neut, fabrique de bronzes d'éclairage at 21 rue Saint-Maur in Paris. André Neut designed and produced art deco lamps. Only a few models in pressed glass are known with his own signature. These Neut signed lamp shades were produced for Labbé et Neut by Charles Schneider. Note the nice canopy of this pendant that matches the pattern of bowl. The bowl on this pendant is a very rare model. I only saw it once before. Labbé & Neut also made pendants with the same fixture holding the well-known Schneider aux libelules bowl. See my other listings for a pair of these pendants.
The chandelier is in very good condition. Some minor insignificant chips to the bowl. I have re-nickeled and patinated the fixture. The pendant has a total height of 43.5 cm (17,24") and a diameter of 35,5 cm (13,98 inches). The mount is rewired with an American standard socket.
