A striking pair of low decorative side tables featuring black lacquered finishes with hand-painted gold floral and foliate decoration. Each table has a square mottled faux-marble style top bordered with delicate gilt botanical motifs.
The bases feature beautifully shaped pierced aprons, carved cabriole-style legs, decorative stretchers, and hoof-form feet. Gold-painted floral and leaf details continue throughout the bases, creating an especially attractive profile from every angle.
Their compact scale makes the pair particularly versatile as end tables, drinks tables, or accent tables flanking a sofa or pair of chairs.
Condition
Good vintage condition with light surface scratches, small nicks and areas of finish wear consistent with age and use. The tops show intentional mottled decorative finishes along with visible surface wear. Please review photographs for condition details.
