An exceptional Hollywood Regency coffee table featuring four monumental cast metal legs supporting a custom-shaped thick beveled glass top. The sculptural foliate legs display refined acanthus-inspired detailing with elegant cabriole lines, creating a timeless balance between classical ornament and modern restraint.
The impressive scale and remarkable weight distinguish this table from many decorative brass and glass examples of the period. The approximately 80-pound glass top rests securely on four substantial cast legs, each weighing roughly 25 pounds, reflecting the quality of construction associated with luxury American furnishings of the late twentieth century.
While no maker’s mark has been located, the design strongly recalls the work of P.E. Guerin and other premier American architectural bronze foundries known for producing sophisticated cast metal furnishings. Because the table remains undocumented, it is offered in the manner of P.E. Guerin, a stylistic attribution based on its sculptural castings, architectural presence, and exceptional craftsmanship.
The warm patina of the cast metal pairs beautifully with the substantial beveled glass, making this an elegant centerpiece for interiors ranging from classic and traditional to contemporary and transitional.
A rare opportunity to acquire a substantial statement coffee table whose quality is immediately evident both visually and physically.
