Vintage Royal Doulton “The Poacher” character jug, D6464, featuring the wonderfully sculpted fisherman with a trout handle. The sly poacher wears a brown hat, green coat and red scarf, with the fish curling dramatically behind him.
Designed by Max Henk for Royal Doulton and made in England. The 4” D6464 is the small version; the design dates to the 1950s and is now retired.
