Made from solid pine with thick saddle leather sling seats, they have that warm, handcrafted look that’s made Mexican Modern furniture so collectible. The sculptural curved arms, exposed slatted sides, and oversized leather tacks give them loads of character, while the leather has developed a beautiful patina over the years.

Although they’re unsigned, they remind me so much of the iconic butaque chairs associated with Clara Porset and William Spratling. Whether you’re furnishing a Palm Beach home, mountain retreat, Spanish Revival house, or a clean modern space, these just seem to work everywhere.

The leather is soft and comfortable, and the chairs have a wonderful relaxed, lived-in feel that’s impossible to reproduce.

Condition
