Hand painted in rich shades of green, cobalt blue, rosy pink, yellow and cream, the parrot features wonderfully dimensional wings, long tail feathers and expressive facial details. The sculptural tree-form base is particularly appealing, with modeled branches, foliage and textured bark.

An opening concealed within the parrot’s back is finished in a striking turquoise glaze, allowing the piece to function as a small vase while retaining the appearance of a decorative ceramic sculpture.
