An exceptional entry or center table with a tessellated table top of marble varieties in a symmetrical geometric pattern. The design is repeated in the base with a similar, smaller version of the top. The top is supported by an apron of gilt acanthus & dart carving as well as three sculpted paw foot legs. The table is made in one piece and heavy, with the tricorn shaped base made of marble as well, adding to its heft. The intricate design of the inlaid marble top and the sculpted acanthus and claw feet is a reflection of the superb Italian craftsmanship. Remarkably there are no chips or dinks in the marble or gilt legs and apron that I can find.
