A stylish and very rare pair of vintage Danish armchairs by Illum Wikkelso. This model is called the ‘Genius’ lounge chair, they were designed for and made by CFC Silkeborg in the 1960’s.
They have a gorgeous design, with finely sculpted wooden frames. It is highly unusual to see this model in this type of wood, which has a lovely colour and stunning grain patterns.
We have had these fully restored, they are in superb condition for their age. The frames have been stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, with brand new webbing under the seat bases. The cushions have been newly upholstered in russet leather and hand hand coloured to give this gorgeous colour tone.
