Beautiful impression, on contemporary paper, by Émile Friant . The subjet derives from the portrait of Louise de Broglie, the oil “Comtesse d’Haussonville” painted by the French Neoclassical artist, Jean-August-Dominique Ingres in 1845. Émile Friant (Dieuze,1863 – Paris, 1932) French painter of the main school of Art Nouveau , the École de Nancy , Grand prix de Rome 1883, Golden medal in 1889 in occasion of Universal Exhibition in Paris, member of Institut de France e Legion d’Honneur . This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
