China ink drawing on paper realized by Maccari in 1950s. Hand signed in pencil lower right. A witty and incisive ink drawing by Mino Maccari, portraying Pietro Nenni in the artist’s unmistakable satirical manner. Rendered with spare, confident line, the figure appears seated in a small boat, reduced to an emblematic profile—heavy features, dark hair, and glasses—captured with a caricaturist’s precision and remarkable economy of means. Behind him, a simplified steamboat with smoking funnels glides across the water, its schematic form reinforcing the drawing’s editorial tone and allegorical character. The contrast between the ample, monumental presence of Nenni and the light, almost playful handling of the surrounding space gives the sheet both humor and graphic strength, illustrating Maccari’s celebrated ability to distill political identity into a single, unforgettable image. Very good condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
