Madonna della Scodella is an original drawing (black pencil, pen and ink on laid paper) by an exponent of the Italian school of the eighteenth century. In excellent conditions: almost perfect, except for a small brown-ink minor stain on the upper margin. The composition derives from the famous engraving by Annibale Carracci, a specimen is hold at the Cabinet of drawings and prints at the Pinacoteca of Bologna. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
