The Swedish Modern movement sought to create furniture that felt natural rather than imposed—pieces shaped by comfort, proportion, and an intuitive understanding of how people live. This armchair is a beautiful expression of that philosophy.
Produced in Sweden during the 1940s, the chair combines generous volume with remarkable softness. The sweeping armrests flow seamlessly into the body, while the gently winged backrest provides both visual presence and exceptional comfort. Vertical tufting adds subtle rhythm to the design, creating a sense of movement without disturbing the chair’s calm and balanced silhouette.
