Hand-crafted in europe during the 1970s, the artwork features an extraordinary, highly stylized "tree of life" bursting into a rich multitude of vibrant floral colors, beautifully anchored at the base by an elegant pair of symbolic swans gliding on a woven pond.

It utilizes a highly sophisticated mixed-media technique: heavy, coarse, and rustic wool yarn has been meticulously hand-applied and adhered to create bold, fluid contours, elegant branches, and graphic spirals. True to the experimental textile art techniques of the 1970s, the wool yarn outlines are delicately adhered to the canvas background. Due to the natural aging of the original vintage adhesive, these sections are delicate and require careful, gentle handling during installation to preserve the placement of the yarn.
for total transparency, a minor historical loss of a short yarn contour section leaves a beautifully clean, blue ghost-mark/imprint on the fabric background from the original dyed wool—serving as a proud testament to its authentic, handmade studio process. Furthermore, the vertical outer edges display a very soft, even, and natural amber patina/oxidation. This beautiful vintage patina has been intentionally left untouched, as it beautifully enhances the textile's organic, historic character and authenticates its unique soul.
