Combining sculptural form with functional design, this elegant covered vessel exemplifies the refined simplicity and exceptional glassmaking associated with Carlo Moretti's early production. The tall cylindrical body is executed in rich opaque cobalt blue cased glass, balanced by a contrasting milk white pedestal foot and domed lid with a spherical finial. The restrained silhouette and bold colour pairing create a strong architectural presence while remaining unmistakably Murano in character. This uncommon colour combination is seldom encountered and offers a distinctive alternative to the more familiar clear or monochrome examples. Originally conceived as an apothecary jar, it remains equally suited as a decorative glass object, bathroom storage vessel, kitchen canister, or cabinet display piece.
