FAMILLE VERTE VASE, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated with a scene of imperial court life:
the emperor seated on a throne, surrounded by courtiers on a terrace overlooking a garden.
The curved neck is decorated with geometric patterns and leaves
. It has a European bronze mount in the Rococo style, dating from the mid-19th century.
Below the bronze mount, a stamp reads "Belongs to the Christofle silversmith company."
Christofle was one of the most famous French silversmiths of the mid-19th century.
This vase belonged to Charles Christofle, jeweler and silversmith, founder of the silversmithing firm of the same name.
47 cm high.
Please note a slight crack in the glaze at the neck, visible under UV light, approximately 4 cm long and only on the exterior of the vase.
This crack is likely a firing defect.
