The … Read more This Dutch Delft charger features a lobed and scalloped rim with a densely painted blue and white surface throughout. The central well depicts a garden scene with a flowering tree rising above a wooden fence, flanked by decorative foliage and grasses. A chain-link border separates the central scene from the wide rim, which is decorated with alternating panels of large scrolling acanthus leaves, floral roundels, and foliate sprays. The reverse shows concentric blue line rings on a white tin-glazed ground. Each plate bears a hand-written maker's mark on the reverse. Chip and glaze loss is visible along the rim, consistent with age. Sold individually. See less
