Majolica jardinière planter with 4 birds Delphin Massier, circa 1890.
Height / 5 inches , 8 by 5 inches.
The Massier are known for the quality of their unique enamels and paintings. The Massier family produced different pieces with birds in a very creative style in Vallauris on the French Riviera; they excelled in the representation of all animals at the end of 19th century: birds, roosters, parrots, donkeys, frogs. They participated with success at different nationals and internationals exhibitions.
