A unique piece from the German studio glass movement (most likely originating from the Bavarian Forest region), this vase showcases exceptional craftsmanship. The deep green glass threads were applied while hot and distorted into a rhythmic, organic wave pattern.

The optical effect is particularly captivating when viewed from above: the solid walls and the precisely drawn thread pattern create an appealing, cushion-like shape within. The base displays an authentic, unpolished pontil mark in the center – classic evidence of genuine, free-form handwork at the furnace.

Weighing a substantial 670 grams, the vase is exceptionally stable. Perfect as a sculptural statement piece or for minimalist arrangements in modern, mid-century, or space-age interiors.
