We wanted to design a shape that exposes the … Read more Our Elio armchair is inspired by both modern and traditional silhouettes. We wanted to design a shape that exposes the key parts of its structure and provides a simple canvas for the upholstery to do all the talking. The inclusion of a traditional camelback detail also softens the structural aesthetic. The curved lines and soft edges were designed to complement our painterly Orpha print; however, the style works equally well with a plain or simple print fabric. Both seat and back cushions are filled with luxurious feather-wrapped foam. The foam retains the structure of the shape, while the feathers provide the ideal plumpness. Offered here in our Plain Velvet and Cinnamon fabrics. The flowing lines and soft edges were designed to complement our picturesque Orpha print, but the style works equally well with a solid or simply patterned fabric. Both the seat and back cushions are filled with luxurious, feather-encased foam. The foam provides shape retention, while the feathers ensure ideal fullness.
