Designed by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, this sculptural art glass dish is part of the celebrated Days of the Week series produced in Sweden during the 1980s. Titled Friday – Two Faces, the square molded glass form features a central relief depicting two stylized faces, reflecting Vallien's distinctive approach to symbolic human imagery within Scandinavian modernist design. Fire-polished edges and exceptional optical clarity complete the understated yet expressive composition.
Bertil Vallien remains one of Sweden's most influential glass artists, and the Days of the Week series continues to attract collectors of Scandinavian studio glass.
