Artisan-made from solid beechwood, the frame has a graceful corbeille, or basket-form, silhouette with a gently curved back, flowing arms and finely carved decorative details.
The frame retains its original antique-gold gilded finish, which has been carefully cleaned while preserving the naturally aged patina. This soft wear adds depth and authentic antique character to the carved wood.
The seat and inner back are upholstered in warm tan velvet, while the arms and sides are finished in deep coffee-brown tufted velvet. The outer back is covered in an ornate silk-cotton damask with a floral pattern, making the settee attractive from every angle and suitable for placement in the centre of a room.
