Hettier & Vincent
A wonderful pair of French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated bronze and clear frosted molded-pressed glass. Made around 1930-1933. This model shade is signed HV France. These rare shades were exclusively produced for Hettier & Vincent by verreries des Hanots. Several sconces in this manner are represented in the old Hettier et Vincent catalogs. H&V made numerous versions of sconces with this same wall plate. They were sold both with and without shades. Customers could also opt for whatever Hettier et Vincent model shade they preferred. The catalogs are no part of this sale.
The sconces are 18 cm (7,09 inches) high and project 22 cm (8,66") from the wall. The shades have a diameter of 4,33 inches. The pair is in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the bronze fixtures. And they are are rewired with American candelabra base sockets.
