M. Hudry & Muller frères
A beautiful pair of 1925-1930 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding four shades in clear frosted molded-pressed glass. The sconces were made by Marcel Hudry. A producer of bronze and forged iron lighting fixtures. He had a large company in Paris (13 rue de Crussol) working mainly in a neo-classical style but he made lamps sconces and chandeliers in modern (art déco) style as well.
The mounts are represented in the old Hudry catalog (see last picture). The shades were made by Muller and the four are signed Muller freres Luneville. The wall sconces are 21 cm high (8,3 inches) and about 31,5 cm wide (12,4"). The shades have a diameter of 4,13 inches. The sconces project 18.5 cm from the wall. They are in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the fixtures and they come rewired. I placed American candelabra base sockets.
