The red leather has faded to pink and has shed some of its outer, smooth layer, making it soft and almost velvety to the touch. It does have one small rip on one side. The lower wood handle is cracked on one side where someone nailed the cloth loop to it, which is not original. These flaws are visible in the last three photos. less
