MCM Chrome & Vinyl Royal Metal Manufacturing Company.
This Mid-century set of two armchairs features chromed, round tubular steel leg & arm frames with original vinyl tan coverings. The chrome arms of the chairs are connected to the legs that flow front to back with no visible screw head connections.
Manufactured by the Royal Metal Manufacturing Company, founded in the late 1890s in Chicago, Illinois, by industrialist Irving "Colonel" Salomon.
Oval Label on back of seat cushion / Logo: The phrase "Metal Furniture since 97" on a Royal Metal Manufacturing Co. logo refers to 1897, the foundational year of the company, meaning the specific logo tag dates from 1947 or later (marking their 50th anniversary or subsequent decades in business).
