A decorative all wood double sided original Late 19th Century - Early 20th Century Optician's trade sign. This would have hung outside the office and sticking out into the street where folks walking in either direction would have seen it. It's done on black painted wood with gilt lettering, and has developed a gorgeous patina over the years. On the bottom it's signed GIL SITES who might have been the sign maker. It comes with its original hooks.
