The height adjustment works as it should, it’s a little stiff but then so would you be at nearly 100 years old The walnut timber has a nice honest patina, there are little signs of wear and age all over, a small section of lightly raised veneer, there's a small indentation on the inside of the brass light neck, otherwise its period correct and a very functional piece of furniture We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished this timber from top to bottom. The light currently switches on and off at the plug.
