An elegant glass set from the renowned firm Bormioli Rocco, one of Italy's most distinguished manufacturers of tableware and glassware. The design of the set is inspired by the colorful works of the Memphis Group.

The blue glasses feature a flared or chalice-shaped silhouette, a stem decorated with botanical motifs, and a subtle color gradient. The smaller, green goblets have a simpler stem but a more modern, bulbous body.

The blue and green colors of the goblets are achieved through minerals and chemical compounds added to the glass. The blue is obtained by incorporating small amounts of cobalt. There are different formulas for obtaining the green color, which can be achieved using iron and chromium oxides or uranium. The use of uranium to color glass was common during the first half of the 19th century, especially in England and Bohemia, but was abandoned at the end of the 19th century due to its high production cost. In this set, the emerald green color is obtained from a mixture of iron and chromium oxides.

The technique used to make the pieces is mold-blown glass, which involves blowing the glass, but not freely; instead, the glass is blown inside a mold. This allows for the creation of specific and intricate profiles that would be impossible with free-blowing glass.
