The signature, location Monza, and a dedication to a friend are present at the bottom left. The Monza painter Eugenio Spreafico approached Verismo and Scapigliatura from 1881, becoming part of the Monza Realists group, which included Mosè Bianchi, Emilio Borsa, and Pompeo Mariani. His focus shifted towards landscape painting, particularly of Monza and the Lombard countryside, and social themes such as fieldwork, portraying workers immersed in nature, in a close figure-landscape relationship. Here is presented a glimpse of a snow-capped alpine peak, with cows grazing in the green valley below. The canvas has some small stains. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
