The vessel features a seated courtly figure framed within intricate patterns, reflecting the artistic sophistication of medieval ceramic production during the height of the Kashan tradition. Published in Henry Wallis's celebrated Lustre Vases (London, 1899), this plate formed part of a privately printed edition limited to only 200 copies. The publication was among the earliest scholarly works dedicated exclusively to lustre ceramics and remains an important reference in the history of Islamic decorative arts. Executed through the refined chromolithographic techniques of the late Victorian era, the print captures the metallic brilliance, warm copper tones, and delicate polychrome decoration of the original object with remarkable fidelity.
