This beautifully proportioned piece features a tall slatted back, broad flat armrests and subtle turned details to the uprights and front legs.

The solid wooden frame has developed a rich, warm brown patina with visible wear, colour variation and surface markings that add to its authenticity and charm. The handwoven rush seat provides a beautiful natural contrast to the dark wood and enhances the bench's honest, timeless character.

Though compact in width, the bench has a generous presence thanks to its tall back and strong architectural form. It would work beautifully in an entryway, living room, bedroom or covered terrace, and suits a wide range of interiors, from Arts and Crafts and rustic farmhouse to wabi-sabi, Belgian and eclectic spaces.

Historic woodworm holes are visible in the frame and are part of the bench's aged appearance and antique character. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
