A set of six 1960’s English porcelain double egg cups. Made by John Maddock & Sons and decorated in their Indian Tree pattern. The inside lip and bottom rim are framed with a loosely Greek Key motif, and pink flowers with green foliage around a branch in front. Marked “Maddock England“ underneath. Dimensions per egg cup.
Double egg cups became popular in the 1930's, with the smaller end used to serve boiled eggs still in their shells. The larger end allows room to chop, season, garnish, and serve, eggs after their shell has been removed.
