This is an example of ex-voto retablo devotional “gratitude” painting on a crucifix with an unpainted Jesus figure. The cross is carved, scored and then painted in traditional colors.
In excellent condition suitable for hanging in a hallway or other prominent location. Stands not included.
Provenance/Origin: San Francisco de Onzole village in Ecuador. Circa 1950s
