Charles Schneider
A beautiful 1925-1930 French art deco hanging fixture in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a nice Schneider shade in mottled coloured glass. These types of shades were done in handblown double layered glass with pigment inclusions.
The bowl spreads a nice warm toned light when lit. Somehow blue colors always appear brighter and more dominant on my pictures than they are in reality. The bowl shows nicely balanced proportions of blue mauve and white colors. The pendant is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the authentic fixture. The canopy shows an unreadable foundry mark at the back. The shade is signed Schneider with the common signature the factory used 1926 onwards. It has a diameter of 35,5 cm (13,97"). The chandelier has a total height of 42,5 cm (16,73"). Contact me if you want this item to have another height. I can shorten it and normally I have enough newly nickeled old rods in stock to make a longer version.
It´s rewired and holds an American standard socket.
