Acquired from a prominent Miami Beach estate, this substantial Postmodern “Cloud” sofa by Weiman Furniture Company exemplifies the organic modern design movement that flourished during the late 1980s and 1990s. Its sculptural asymmetrical silhouette, sweeping curves, and integrated chaise-form extension reflect the influential design language pioneered by Vladimir Kagan, whose biomorphic furniture transformed conventional seating into functional sculpture.

The sofa's most striking feature is its exceptional upholstery. It is covered in a richly textured multicolored bouclé woven with coral, crimson, raspberry, cream, citron, and subtle celadon tones. The textile possesses the visual character of the couture tweeds associated with Paris fashion houses and immediately recalls the celebrated bouclé fabrics popularized by Chanel.
