An elegant Edwardian English silver-plated wine coaster or bottle caddy, dating to circa 1910, featuring an unusual embossed alligator skin motif wrapped around a classic cylindrical form. Executed in heavy silver plate, the richly textured surface convincingly imitates exotic reptile hide, reflecting the Edwardian fascination with luxurious materials and refined sporting accessories.

The body is fitted with a pair of polished angular side handles whose clean geometric profile anticipates the emerging Art Deco aesthetic while complementing the organic texture of the embossed surface.
