An elegant pair of French Belle Époque table lamps, attributed to the celebrated French crystal house Baccarat, combining finely cast gilt and patinated bronze mounts with exceptionally executed spiral-cut crystal columns. Dating to the turn of the twentieth century, these lamps draw inspiration from classical Corinthian architecture while showcasing the virtuoso glassmaking that made French luxury objects internationally renowned.

Each lamp is centered by a substantial crystal column deeply molded with a continuous spiral pattern that catches and refracts light from every angle. The optical effect creates movement throughout the crystal, transforming the columns into luminous architectural elements even when unlit. Above, richly detailed Corinthian capitals are cast in gilt bronze with acanthus leaves, palmettes, and stylized botanical ornament inspired by ancient Greek and Roman precedents. The capitals support elegant bronze candle cups and sockets, while stepped square bases provide visual weight and balance.
