A beautiful French art deco flush mount by Hettier & Vincent in nickel plated solid brass or bronze and clear frosted molded-pressed glass. Made around 1925 - 1930. This model globe with a deco of flowers and butterflies is never signed. It was produced by Verreries des Hanots and used by many lighting companies to produce fixtures with. A larger and rare model bowl exists with the same butterfly decoration. The bowl is signed Hettier & Vincent cause Hanots produced it strictly for H&V. The butterfly globes were used by Hettier & Vincent for numerous models of lamps chandeliers and flush mounts. The one on offer is represented in the old H&V product catalog.
The shade has a diameter of about 18 cm (7 inches) and the total height of the lamp is 27 cm (12"). It is in good condition. The original nickel plating shows some wear and turned mat over the years. The flush mount is rewired with an American candelabra base socket.
