Stylized foliate motifs etched into the rectangular mirror plates create subtle depth that twinkles in the light; these narrow strips make a border around a wide, beveled plate in the center. The plates are affixed at the corners by (mirrored) applications modeled on the silhouette of acanthus and two elliptical shapes at the center line. Be assured that any cracks have been professionally repaired, yet there is some damage to note (see detailed images). A mostly clear reflection illuminates any room and the symmetrical mirror is shown in vertical orientation using the attached screw holes but could be hung in any direction as needed. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
