This piece is in very good overall condition and looks excellent for its age. It has been kept under cover on a screened-in porch since new, and it shows, with its bright white finish and brown strapping, both of which are original. The chair has recently undergone a light restoration to bring it to the stunning condition it's presently in. It was the perfect candidate, as it has seen very little use. As a result, it is free of damage, and the metal components show only slight oxidation, mainly along the bottoms of some of the legs near the feet. These areas were touched up with paint (using a Q-Tip). Overall, the original paint was in very nice condition, and little work was required to make it look excellent from every angle. The strapping had begun to discolor on the top side, so every strip was flipped over. As a result, the top, visible side now looks nearly new. The straps are in good condition overall, with only a couple showing very minor cracking along the bottom edge. Because each one had to be heated and stretched significantly for removal and reinstallation, it is safe to say there is no weakness in the strapping, and the chair will continue to be in good, usable condition for years to come. The adjustable backrest functions properly, and all six leg end caps are present and in good order. Though it has some age on it, the original "Brown Jordan" label is attached.
