This striking 1970’s or 1980’s diamond ring has beautiful craftsmanship with a row of diamonds along the top and bottom of the band. The diamonds are channel set, held in place by a tiny tab of gold, with each setting individually carved out for each stone. The ring has nice detailing—behind the diamonds is a white gold or rhodium that enhances the ring’s sparkle, while the rest of the band is yellow gold, and there is an opening behind each stone that allows the light to shine through the diamonds. Between the rows of diamonds there is a fluted decorative element. Each flute lines up perfectly between the diamonds, creating an image reminiscent of train tracks.
The ring contains 22 natural diamonds that range in size from 2.5 to 2 mm. The TCW is 1.25 carats. The diamonds are H-I in color and VS2 in clarity.
The band is 9.7 mm at its widest point and 3.5 mm at its narrowest. It weighs 4.85 grams. Marked 14k.
Ring size 5.5; could be sized up or down one size.
