An elegant and exceptionally thin-walled Art Deco period decorative centerpiece bowl.
The exterior features a deeply incised relief band showcasing a classic Neo-Classical
Meander (Greek Key) border situated above a geometric register of stylized palmettes
and vertical drop-pendant patterns. Covered entirely in a translucent, rich monochrome
green oxide glaze that pools beautifully in the recesses to highlight the
relief work. The vessel is highly vitrified and produces a bright, high-pitched,
glass-like musical ring when gently tapped.

[BASE MARKS]:
Features a fully glazed underside (no raw clay foot ring). Displays a single, permanent
impressed uppercase character "C" under the glaze, serving as an internal factory mold
or design shape classification mark. Three distinct kiln stilt/spur scars are visibly
present on the base from the original firing process.

[CONDITION REPORT]:
Good to Excellent vintage condition. Free of cracks, structural chips, or repairs.
Glaze retains
its original high-gloss sheen with minimal surface pocket scratching or shelf wear.

Of note, there are two pinhead glaze pops on the exterior of the bowl and a tiny (0.2 cm) chip on rim. All shown in pictures.
The bowl has not been cleaned. See less
