It has four drawers with lovely carved wooden handles that sit flush into the front. The piece is made from rosewood veneer (Bolivian Rosewood), which shows a rich, warm grain pattern across the front and top. It stands on four tapered teak legs that give it that classic Scandinavian look.
Please note that the top surface is darker in color than the drawer fronts — this is likely due to decades of different light exposure and natural oxidation. This kind of color variation is completely normal in genuine vintage rosewood furniture and only adds to the authentic character of the piece. The recessed handles have a slightly warmer reddish-brown tone that contrasts beautifully with the drawer fronts.
Inside, the drawers are built with traditional dovetail joints and run smoothly on a central wooden guide rail. The chest carries the original "Danish Furniture Makers Control" quality mark, which was a seal of approval given to high-quality Danish furniture of this era.
