Signed at the bottom left (although the signature is barely legible). On the back of the frame is the name of Dante Carnelli, a Bergamo artist known for following in the footsteps of his father Giuseppe in religious painting, specializing as a fresco artist in Lombard churches. The work depicts Saint Anthony, with an expression of serene contemplation, holding the little Jesus resting on a cushion. The Child, in a gesture of affection, gently caresses the saint's face, who holds a lily in his left hand, an iconographic symbol associated with him. The canvas shows some stains that require cleaning intervention. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
