An impressively large decorative stoneware handled vase/pitcher by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, Sweden, 1950s. Standing at 44 cm (17.3") tall, the piece has a neoclassical amphora-inspired form with a graceful curved handle, finished in a rich, dark aubergine glaze with subtle shades of brown. A true centerpiece, striking enough to stand alone in any room. The piece is signed to the base with Nylund's monogram "GN," the Rörstrand logo, and its model name. This piece has an attribution mark,
