A beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find Maitland-Smith kimono table lamp dating to the 1970s. Crafted from tessellated stone with brass accents and iridescent mother-of-pearl inlay, the lamp is modeled after a traditional Japanese kimono and makes a great statement piece whether displayed with or without a shade.
The craftsmanship is what you'd expect from Maitland-Smith—solid construction, clean brass detailing, and intricate stonework throughout. The shimmering mother-of-pearl trim catches the light beautifully and gives the piece a subtle elegance without being overdone.
The lamp has been tested and is in good working condition.

Overall, this lamp presents very well and remains in good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. The tessellated stone and mother-of-pearl inlay are in nice condition with no significant chips or cracks noted. There are a few small age spots and natural variations in the stone, along with light surface wear consistent with decades of use. The brass base and hardware show expected patina, oxidation, surface scratches, finish wear, and scattered dark marks from age. There is also some sticker residue on one side of the stone base from a previous label that has not been removed. The brass finial at the top displays finish wear and patina consistent with the rest of the lamp. The original cord and inline switch are present and functional. The cord shows normal age-related discoloration and wear but remains in working order. The lamp has been tested and works as intended. Please review all photos carefully, as they are considered part of the description and accurately represent the condition of the piece.
